I told myself I wasn’t going to do a post about it until it was actually in my driveway, but I’m so stupidly excited I don’t want to wait. At 11am today, 218 days since I sent the initial down payment, I received the photos of my Double D trailer, fully and finally complete!!!!! It took 15 revisions and dozens of emails and second guessing and all the patience I’ve ever mustered, but it’s finally real. Now we have to finalize the loan and schedule the delivery (I don’t have much hope a delivery driver is going to want to drive from Wisconsin to Oregon the week of Thanksgiving, sigh), so it’ll probably be another two weeks before I actually get to touch it, but just so damn happy that it’s not a drawing any longer!!! I have so many plans and decals and futzing to do once it arrives, but more than anything I’m relieved for Tarma. The comfort of this trailer for her is so well thought out, between the insulation, bright white horse area, Rumbar flooring, vents, fans, lights, drop down windows, reverse facing, side load, cameras, ramps…it’s going to be a premium ride for her, and no more stressing about how she hauls or starting off every adventure with a skeptical, worried mare is worth every penny. Now for a photo dump!

I am very anxious to hear about how you like the trailer and your experience with Double D. I would like to order a trailer from them too

Do it! I love everything about my trailer, from the ordering and customizing process to hauling with it and tinkering with the dressing room. They are so welcome made and comfortable for horse and hauling, I call them the BMW of trailers! I can’t wait for it’s first trip this April.
