It’s hard to keep an active young Lab puppy down…but trazodone will do it. Buddy was neutered on Thursday, at nine months old. His vet and I discussed it and decided he was grown enough and I was tired of constantly stressing about oopsie Benny babies, so off he went for surgery. He’s been stuck at home ever since, and I’m counting down the hours until he can be free again. For now, enjoy some stoned puppy spam while he recovers (and yes, I did get my dog an actual ostrich bone and he’s gotten several quiet hours out of it so worth it!) Also, thank you to everyone who gave us tips on how to keep him off his stiches. We’ve settled on a combination of the dreaded plastic cone, being locked in my office with me while I’m working, hyper vigilance and the donut (the shorts only lasted a day, couldn’t make them work alas). Stoned puppy is fun, but I can’t wait to have my buddy back!
